Why Move Here?
At Philip Jarvis Estate Agent we service an extensive and popular region that encompasses the heart of Kent. We cover a beautiful area which lies primarily between Junction Eight and Nine of the M20, across to the Weald of Kent and back towards Faversham and the neighbouring villages.
It is an excellent area to live, offering rolling countryside on your doorstep yet the larger towns of Maidstone and Ashford and indeed, Canterbury are all within easy access. There are excellent communication links by road and rail linking the area to both London and the Continent.
Increasing numbers of people have chosen to move to this area to escape the hustle and bustle of living in expensive London or its suburbs. There is not only a better quality of lift but clear better value for money compared to living closer to London.
The villages of Lenham and Harrietsham are found just a short distance from the M20 providing a direct link to London and the Continent. The M2 is also easily accessible.
The high speed train link between Ashford International and London St Pancras has become increasingly more popular, taking only 37 minutes into London. This has had the effect of making Lenham and the surrounding villages even more attractive and desirable.
Alternatively, there is a railway station in Lenham and Harrietsham taking commuters and passengers directly into London, Victoria station. Headcorn is approximately five miles away and offer an alternative route into Charing Cross and London Bridge. Journey times average between one hour and one and a half hours.
Local schools in the area have an excellent reputation. It is one of the few areas in the country where there is still a selective examination process at eleven, offering Grammar School education alongside High Schools.
